My romance
with astrology began when I was very young.
I was only 17 when I borrowed my first
astrology book from a friend. The book was
colorful, fascinating, and I read it over
and over – I even managed to calculate my
own birth chart. But, to my great
disappointment, I didn’t know how to
interpret it. I could draw the charts, but
they were impenetrable and didn’t mean
anything to me. Very frustrated, I decided
to give up the whole thing but fate, as it
seems, had other plans for me…
Several years
later we suffered a tragedy in the family.
It was a very difficult, though highly
challenging, period in my life, and suddenly
I was driven to try and understand the
meaning of life. I wanted to know what
forces were influencing me and why
particular things happen to us at certain
times in our lives. So I found myself going
back to investigate the stars, but this time
I decided do it more thoroughly and
professionally. This decision proved to be
a serious turning point in my life.
There’s a saying that ‘when
the student is ready, the teacher will
come’, in my case, I had several excellent
teachers, the first one who took me under
her wing was Nurit Pardo, who is also
a relative. Nurit opened the doors onto the
fascinating world of Astrology for me. She
thought me the basics, and later referred me
to late Aviva Sten (who was Nurit's
teacher and one of Israel’s most famous
professional astrologers in the 70s). I
began private lessons with her. There, in a
small kitchen in Givatayim, we would meet
once a week for a private astrology lesson.
I was about 22 then, and Aviva was 72, a
grandmother several times over. Aviva
belonged to the British school of astrology,
and taught traditional, classic
astrology. These meetings formed the bedrock
of astrological knowledge upon which I built
over the years. That meeting with Nurit and
Aviva changed my life, leading me to read
professional astrological literature, in
English, by leading astrologers such as
Charles Carter, Alan Leo, William
Lilly, Evie Jacobson, Alphee Laoie, et
al.
During
my fascinating journey in astrological
studies I came across two branches of
astrology that I found particularly
interesting and in which I decided to
specialize. The first, horary astrology,
deals with interpreting a chart cast for a
question, I found out about this branch of
Astrology from a book -"Heavens can answer"
which was written by Ruth Aharoni.
Reading the book led me to Ruth who took me
on as her student in this discipline. The
second was financial astrology, which
focuses on analyzing market trends and
giving forecasts concerning the rise and
fall of stocks and shares, interest rates,
etc. I came across this aspect of astrology
during my B.A. studies in Business
Administration, specializing in financing.
Today I am a full-time astrologer. I love
astrology and think astrologically (yes,
there is such a thing…) and am convinced
that astrological knowledge is essential for
anyone who wants to better understand his
life and the cosmic forces at play.
My work
includes astrological counseling in both
private and professional matters, and the
use of horary astrology in answering
particular questions. I am bound by a code
of ethics that assures discretion, and am
careful to use ordinary language unadorned
by astrological terminology, so that the
message can be easily understood by
everyone.
In addition,
I teach classic astrology using practical
methods, and hold workshops and give
lectures both in Israel and overseas.
I believe
that much can be predicted, and that
permission has been granted for us to have
the choice to change, whatever planetary
influences might be in evidence.
